A Pilates Studio in Montagu
The Pilates on Long Studio is situated at 59 Long Street Montagu. We welcome young and old to practice the art of Pilates. If you are new to Pilates you may need to take an orientation course of between 3 to 5 classes. It is very important to have a solid foundation of what Pilates is and of the Pilates Principles. These orientation classes may be in groups or private session. The reason for this orientation is two fold, firstly when you do join group classes you will need to understand the language of Pilates, and secondly you will need to understand what you are doing in order to achieve results. we like to think of this as having a Strong Mind Body Connection. Pilates in not just mindless exercise but highly focused and controlled therefore having a solid knowledge of what you are doing is essential.

The Pilates on long Studio also offer private equipment assisted classes. These are most beneficial especially for the participant who has a specific problem, ie back pain, week core, hip problems or requires some form of rehabilitation from injury. Alternatively you may require more intense training by challenging the body through resistance provided by the equipment.
